Dear students,
I have posted the homework due next WEDNESDAY MORNING (October 19 09:00AM) to Mastering Physics. You should see it with the title "Energy and Momentum Conservation" and a due date of next Wednesday morning (again, October 19 09:00AM). This material will be on the midterm. Most of Monday is dedicated to review. Additional material (center of mass) on Monday will NOT be on the second midterm.
I have added a few more explanations and hints for the problems this time, and reviewed them for possibly confusing language. If you see any problems where the language still gives you trouble, please email me at satogata@jlab.org -- I will email you back with an explanation and will also add clarification to the notes for the problem in Mastering so that everyone can have the same help.
Note that there are not any extra problems for advanced students in this problem set. I wanted to concentrate on the fundamentals for everyone in the lead-up to the second midterm.
